Article 1 Purpose

This consent notice is intended to explain the purpose of collecting and using users' location information in connection with the location-based service provided by the Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal, the items collected, the retention and use period, provision to third parties, and restrictions resulting from refusal of consent.

Article 2 Details of the Location-Based Service

The Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal provides the following location-based services based on the user's current location.

• 1. 1. Search for and display information on nearby hospitals and medical institutions on a map
• 2. 2. Search for and display the location of nearby immigrant support centers on a map
• 3. 3. Search for and display information on nearby immigration offices, regional offices, branch offices, and related organizations on a map

Article 3 Location Information Items Collected and Used

The Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal may temporarily collect and use the following information to provide the location-based service.

• 1. 1. Current location coordinates collected when access to location information is permitted on the device or browser: latitude and longitude
• 2. 2. Additional information required to confirm location and display the map: location accuracy, positioning time, etc.
• 3. 3. If GPS or browser location information cannot be used, approximate location information inferred from the IP address, etc.

However, the above items are used only temporarily within the scope necessary to provide the location-based service, and the Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal does not store the user's current location coordinates in a separate database.

Article 4 Method of Collecting Location Information

When a user allows access to location information on the device or browser while using the location-based service of the Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal, current location information is temporarily collected through that device or browser.
Location information is collected only at the time of service use, and the Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal does not collect the user's location information at all times or continuously for use of the location-based service.

Article 5 Purpose of Using Location Information

The Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal uses the collected location information for the following purposes.

• 1. 1. Providing search results for nearby facilities based on the user's current location
• 2. 2. Displaying hospitals and medical institutions, immigrant support centers, immigration offices, foreigner offices, and other related facilities on a map
• 3. 3. Displaying the map screen and processing location-based searches using the Kakao Map API

Article 6 Provision of Location Information to Third Parties

The Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal provides the location-based service using the Kakao Map API. Accordingly, during the process of providing the location-based service, the user's location information may be provided to third parties as follows.

• Purpose of provision | Map display through the Kakao Map API, search for nearby facilities based on the current location, and display of facility locations
• Items provided | Latitude, longitude, location accuracy, positioning time, and other information necessary to provide the location-based service
• Retention and use period | Destroyed without delay after the purpose of the map API call and the location-based service is achieved, or handled according to the standards set forth in the recipient's relevant terms and privacy policy

The Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal does not provide the user's location information to third parties for any purpose other than the above.
The Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal may transmit the user's location information for use of the Kakao Map API, but it does not store the transmitted user's current location coordinates in the Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal database.

Article 7 Retention and Use Period of Location Information

Collected location information is used temporarily each time the service is used to provide the current-location-based map service, and is destroyed without delay after the purpose of providing the service is achieved.
The Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal does not store the user's current location coordinates in a separate database or retain them continuously.
However, if there is information that must be retained under applicable laws, it may be retained for the period prescribed by such laws. Even in this case, the Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal does not separately store the user's current location coordinates for any purpose unrelated to providing the location-based service.

Article 8 Right to Refuse Consent and Restrictions Resulting from Refusal

Users have the right to refuse consent to the collection and use of location information and its provision to third parties.
If a user refuses consent or does not allow the device or browser to access location information, use of functions that search for and display nearby hospitals and medical institutions, immigrant support centers, immigration offices, foreigner offices, and other facilities on a map based on the current location will be restricted.
However, even if users do not consent to the collection and use of location information, they may use general services of the Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal other than the location-based service.

Article 9 Suspension of Location Information Use and Permission Changes

The Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal temporarily collects and uses the user's location information each time the location-based service is used. The user's location information is not collected at all times or stored continuously.
Users may refuse or change access permission to location information through device or browser settings, and in such cases use of the current-location-based map service may be restricted.
If a user later attempts to use the location-based service again, the procedure for allowing access to location information on the device or browser may be displayed again.

Article 10 Restriction on Use of the Location-Based Service by Children Under 14

To collect, use, or provide to third parties the personal location information of children under 14, consent from a legal representative and a procedure for verifying such consent are required under applicable laws.
The Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal currently does not provide a procedure for verifying consent from a legal representative required for children under 14 to use the location-based service.
Accordingly, children under 14 may not use the location-based service of the Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal.

Article 11 Measures to Protect Location Information

The Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal manages location information so that it is used only within the scope of the purpose of providing the location-based service, and takes necessary protective measures to prevent unauthorized access to, leakage, alteration, or damage of location information.
The Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal does not use the user's current location coordinates for any purpose other than providing the service or store them in a separate database.

Article 12 Storage and Records of Location Information

The Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal may transmit the user's location information to the Kakao Map API to provide the location-based service, but it does not store the user's current location coordinates in the Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal database.
Location information is used temporarily during API calls for map display and searching nearby facilities based on the current location, and the Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal does not accumulate or retain such location information as separate history information.
However, under Article 16(2) of the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information, the Gyeonggi Immigrant Portal automatically records and retains for six months 'materials confirming the fact of use and provision of location information (such as the date and time of service use)' for handling customer complaints and resolving disputes. Even in this case, detailed location coordinate values are not retained.
